Shopify themes must be purchased directly from the Shopify theme store or a reputable theme developer - we can help confirm what theme will be strong to build upon!

  • *Though these projects will utilize the existing layouts from your selected website template, we are typically able to rearrange pages, remove unnecessary rows, & make basic changes etc. to retrofit the design to your pages & content.

 *Please note: We ask for approximately 1 week buffer time between any hard deadlines and our day together if at all possible. Design work is never an exact science, so this gives plenty of breathing room if there is anything we need to wrap up or finalize prior to closing out our project officially.

Design Intensive Client Agreement 1. GRAPHIC DESIGN AGREEMENT This Graphic Design Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into on the date the initial deposit is submitted by and between you (the “Client”) and Mara Design Co. (the “Designer”), collectively “the Parties.”  2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION By submitting this Agreement, the Designer agrees to spend the listed amount of time on your scheduled date(s) on design-related assignments to be determined by the Client & Designer together, as well as up to 1 hour of prep work prior to the Intensive. In addition, all projects will include 30 days of post-project support where the Designer agrees to offer Slack or email support for questions or concerns about the work we complete together. This support period does not include new design work as this would need to be added on separately. Please note that all design work and collaboration occurs virtually and that no in-person work will occur between the Client and Designer.

Virtual collaboration will normally occur between the hours of 9am - 5pm PT on the Client's specified project date(s), though the number of hours in each day will vary depending on the project booked. Detailed schedule information will be provided in your client dashboard after booking.  3. REFUNDS & RESCHEDULING This purchase is non-refundable, but may be rescheduled to another date or applied to a different service offering with written notice within 7 days of the scheduled intensive date. If emergent circumstances occur for either Party or require the date to be rescheduled after the 7 day window has passed, the Designer can, at their discretion, schedule a new date with the Client within a 90-day period of the original intensive date. If a new date is not secured within that 90-day period, the deposit will be forfeited & the intensive cancelled.  4. PAYMENT Payment for these services will be to Service Provider at the rate listed on checkout page (not including any valid coupons applicable to this product or add-ons chosen by the Client) and a minimum of one deposit toward the project will be due at the time of booking this project according to the payment plans outlined on this payment page. Monthly installments will be on autopay through the life of the installment plan (1, 2, or 3 payments depending on options selected at time of checkout) and processed via Stripe or PayPal through ThriveCart. After final installment in your selected plan is paid, autopay will automatically end and no further installments will continue, marking project as paid in full.5. ADDITIONAL EXPENSES The Designer agrees to discuss upfront any additional expenses that may be incurred for items such as stock photography, font licensing, plugin licenses, web hosting, or other third party services. These costs are the responsibility of the Client & will be billed separately from the Design Intensive rate.  6. COMMUNICATION The Client and Designer will primarily communicate via a shared Slack channel during the prep phase, during the project timeframe, as well as during the support phase post-project. An invitation to this Slack channel will be sent within approximately 1-3 business days of booking. The Designer and Client can also schedule phone or video calls on the platform of their choosing, at times agreed upon by both parties. The Designer is not expected to reply to messages or check Slack, email, or similar outside of business hours (Approx. 9am to 5pm PT) but aims to respond to messages in a timely manner.  7. OWNERSHIP Client continues to own any and all proprietary information it shares with Designer during the term of this Agreement for the purposes of the Agreement. Designer has no rights to this proprietary information and may not use it except to complete the Graphic Design services. Upon completion of the Agreement, Client will own the final Graphic Design Deliverables. While Designer will customize Client’s Graphic Design Deliverables to Client’s specifications, Client recognizes that Graphic Designs generally can have a common structure and basis. Designer continues to own any and all baseline template designs it may have created prior to this Agreement. Designer will further own any template designs it may create as a result of this Agreement. Lastly, Client grants permission for Designer to display the design work created in portfolios or promotional displays showcasing the designer’s work, provided it does not reveal any proprietary or confidential information.  8. ENTIRE AGREEMENT The Parties acknowledge and agree that this Agreement represents the entire agreement between the Parties. In the event that the Parties desire to change, add, or otherwise modify any terms, they shall do so in writing to be signed by both parties.

Design Intensive Client Agreement
